Founded in 1999, ProfSoft is a privately-held, employee-owned company based in Massachusetts, whose focus is to provide software and services for clinical data analysis and reporting that enables health plans, physician organizations, employers and employer coalitions to better understand, and improve on, the quality of care and health care costs. The company is dedicated to, and answers to, its clients only, with no outside venture capital or other equity interests.
We have had experience working with some of the leading health plans, physician-hospital organizations, employer coalitions and Fortune 500 companies in the country, such as Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plans. Our main focus is for our clients to get value out of our software and services. To that end, ProfSoft spends a significant amount of time and effort working hand-in-hand with its clients to achieve its clients’ goals.

opportunities for improvement. ProfSoft’s products are
information rich. We help our customers identify and stratify
opportunities to reduce cost and improve quality, and then give
those customers the information they need to plan and implement
effective interventions.
The foundation for our software is Episode Treatment Groups (ETGs)™. What distinguishes ProfSoft are the ways that we use ETG-grouped data. Our analytic methods address numerous issues with ETGs that impact the validity and reliability of the data. ProfSoft prides itself on building a sophisticated software analytical engine that is very flexible to accommodate the differences from client to client, yet the product is easy to use, practical and delivers actionable information to address “real-world” issues in terms of cost and quality. Our tools are fully web-enabled and support a wide range of computer hardware and software.
