Software Developer

If your strengths are in programming, statistics/math, and large data sets, and you want to spend your days working with all three – then here is the job you have been looking for! This is a unique opportunity for a strong SOFTWARE DEVELOPER to join a small, exciting company with a start-up environment as it rapidly grows to meet the demands for its product offering.

Responsibilities Include:

You will develop software products that perform innovative analysis on large datasets. You will contribute to several phases of the software life cycle including specification, design, implementation, testing, debugging, release and maintenance.

  • Design, program, test and debug algorithms for new software products.
  • Review, enhance and provide programming support for existing products.
  • Develop program and technical documentation (including design documents and test plans).
  • Contribute in evaluation of new analytical methods and software.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Broad programming experience including but not limited to:

    Statistical programming tools (e.g. STATA, SAS)

    High-level programming language (e.g. C/C++, C#, Java, PHP, ASP.NET

    SQL/Databases e.g. MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server

  • Excellent math/statistics and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of computer systems structure (hardware, operating system, software).
  • Experience with or interest in large datasets.
  • Health care industry knowledge a plus.
